Hello all! As you may have noticed, this is an entirely new Charlie Grunts website! I have been working on this on and off for about 10 months, and hope it has been worth the wait. I’m sure not everyone will be happy with the new site, but hopefully others will really like it. Overall this is going to be a much easier site to use and maintain, which will help us make changes faster, and not have to do as much manual work to keep the site up and running. Some of the new things about the site include:
- All pages can be edited with a browser. This basically means the content on the site can be updated very quickly and easily without requiring programming knowledge
- The site now uses a Flickr account for photos, which basically means we can use unlimited photos on the site, and add them to the site very easily.
- All old photos have been color corrected. Basically the ink used in a lot of the old photos has degraded over time to look brown. I’ve edited all of these photos to look much more like when they were first developed!
These are the main things, but this website is a whole new animal. I’m sure there will be some things that need to change, so feel free to use the Contact Form to ask questions, request changes, etc. I can’t promise I will be able to do everything or figure out every problem because I have a limited amount of time to work on this site, but I’ll do what I can.
I still have several things on the list to do, so if you see some things missing it’s probably just because I haven’t got to them yet. This includes:
- Finish processing and uploading all of the pictures that everyone has sent in
- Getting an easier to update/use member database online
- Making the Discussions (formerly called Guestbook) a little bit more robust
